High-Speed Precision Welding

K-TIG takes welding speed to the next level. It can weld a 10-inch, Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe in just 3 minutes, setting new standards for efficiency and productivity.

The K-TIG Principle

K-TIG, short for Keyhole TIG, is a variant of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) that excels across a wide range of applications. It’s ideally suited for longitudinal, circumferential, and outside corner joints. The best part? K-TIG eliminates the need for edge bevelling, requiring only a simple square butt joint. It’s your solution for 1G and 2G welding positions and is not intended for positional welds (5G/6G).

Full Penetration, No Compromises

K-TIG supports full penetration welding at 8 times the depth of GTAW and typically 2 times the depth of Plasma Arc Welding (PAW). This means you can achieve full penetration, single-pass keyhole welding in materials up to ½ inch (12mm) for most corrosion-resistant materials and even up to 5/8 inch (16mm) in certain reactive metals—without the need for special gases or exotic purging requirements.

Materials Mastery

K-TIG’s precision process shines when welding corrosion-resistant materials, exotic alloys, and select carbon steels. Ideal thickness ranges include Titanium up to 5/8 inch (16mm), Austenitic Stainless Steel up to 1/2 inch (13mm), Duplex & Super Duplex up to 1/2 inch (13mm), and Nickel alloys & super alloys up to 1/2 inch (13mm). Thicker materials? We can discuss your specific needs.

Productivity & Profitability

K-TIG isn’t just faster; it’s more profitable. By welding thicker materials at higher quality, it delivers dramatic productivity gains, giving you a competitive edge and helping you meet even the most challenging deadlines.

Exceptional Quality

K-TIG’s robust process delivers reliable results, easily meeting all major code requirements like ASME, AWS, API, BS, CSA, CEN, AS/NZS and others.
GE achieved a 66% reduction of defects.
TITAN Metal Fabricators achieved a 42% reduction of defects.
Bilfinger achieved a 73% reduction of grinding and cleaning.
