What does your typical work day entail?

I don’t think of my work days as ‘typical’ at all, which I actually like, each morning I sit at my desk and jokingly think to myself ‘I wonder what today will bring’.

My role within Key Plant is quite varied, especially the HR side of things, but I enjoy it all. In one day I will encounter more than just one challenging moment, which I thrive on, and I’ve come to learn that with each new challenge I gain new knowledge.

Every day I get to work with a lot of lovely people throughout the company in different ways, I can be arranging overtime with the guys on the factory or discussing mechanical parts with the technical engineers.

I can honestly say that, due to the team and the support I have around me, each day starts and ends with a smile!

What challenges has the Covid19 pandemic bought, and how has Key Plant overcome them?

Dealing with Health and Safety is a challenging role in itself but I believe that the time and effort that Key Plant gives to the Health and Safety has played a key part in how we have been able to quickly implement procedures to follow government guidelines and reassure our employees that we can work safely through the COVID19 pandemic.

We have worked closely with our local Environmental Officer and I am very proud to say that the feedback from him regarding the procedures we have in place has been very complimentary.

I think that we can all agree that it has been and still is a scary time but if we continue to support each other has we have been doing throughout the company then we can all remain positive.

What is your favourite part about working for Key Plant?

It may sound corny, I actually have a lot of favourite parts but if I have to pick out only one then it’s that I feel like I make a difference.
The company is a forward thinking company with a can do attitude and the help and support I get from everyone I work with means that I can do my job successfully.

I think I’m very lucky to be able to say that I get to experience a feeling of satisfaction at being an important part of the team helping the company to successfully move forward.
