The Job
Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will support the daily operations of the branch:
- Provide excellent customer service to all accounts.
- Provide timely follow-up to customer requests
- Communicate daily with Outside Sales Associate on enquiries and/or orders received.
- Prepare and sends quotes to clients as required.
- Coordinate equipment requirements for efficient order fulfillment and cost containment.
- Plan and direct customer orders in conjunction with the service department.
- Ensure proper generation of rental agreements and associated documents.
- Arrange freight and transportation.
- Assist with vendor purchasing.
- Assist with parts and equipment inventories.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Greater than three year’s customer service in an industrial/rental environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Welding equipment, processes, applications, generators and positioning equipment.
Skills
- Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Sales experience in an industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment sales/ rental environment (ideally construction, fabrication, and/or manufacturing sectors) would be an asset.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
- Computer skills to produce effective spreadsheets, reports, as required.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions.
- Communicates with clarity, verbally in one on one or group situations, and over the telephone.
- Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents.
